Rudi – I just big poofy heart this guy!

Today, I am sharing a post from June 6, 2008. Rudi – my orange tabby, came into my life on January 1st, 2008. We had just flown back into town from Philly (visiting my in-laws). At the time, we were considering a girl cat that had wandered into my fiance’s neighbor’s yard. As we pulled up to my place, I told Mick that I just didn’t think that I could deal with another cat right now because I was planning our wedding, getting ready to move, etc. I really didn’t think I could handle another “anything”…if that makes sense. So we got out of the car with a decision to call his neighbors and tell them that we were sorry, but the timing was bad for us to get another cat.

As I was walking to the door, something caught my eye…a little orange kitty under a car across the street. He came right to me, walked right inside as I opened the door, and started playing with Kiddy. Hmm….

How can you turn away a cat that automatically loves your other cat?! You can’t! That is the night that I adopted Rudi. My baby doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He’s a sweetie beyond all, and he likes to eat ribbon. Just ask my credit card that’s had to pay for his vet bills!

I’m sharing this post on Design Ties’ Rewind Wednesday and Planet M Files’ Pet Parade! Be sure to check out their sites today!!

We all have our favorite spots to hang out. The other day, I found Rudi’s.

Yep, you just HAD to adopt him — it was meant to be :-)

Thanks for participating in Rewind Wednesday. Our blog seems to be having problems today — it’s taking forever to load, and then when it does, it only loads halfway. Did you have problems with it??

What a great shot! And I love the story of how you came to adopt him. What a sweetie. And tell him that I said to stay away from those ribbons! I work for a vet and boy howdy I know how hard that can be on kitty and owner. Thanks for sharing Rudi’s story!
