Hooked on: Cooking
Posted in Food/Recipes by: AngelaAs so wonderfully noted by my husband, when I get focused on something, don’t bother trying to divert my attentions…I’m diving in head first. Whether this is reading, cross-stitching, making tassels, getting engrossed in Grey’s Atanomy or LOST, or cooking and baking, when I get ‘into’ something, I’m there 120%!
This week, I’m hooked on: cooking! To see what everyone is hooked on, be sure to check out Julia’s Hooked on Friday’s Party!

Yesterday, I made a recipe that originally came from this post but I felt the need to change it up a bit! Here you go: Crockpot Pork Ribs – Not Exactly John McCain’s Recipe.
3 lbs. Pork Ribs
2 Tablespoons garlic powder
2 Tablespoons black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon red pepper flakes
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
lemon juice
In a shallow bowl, combine garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Spray crockpot with non-stick. Coat each rib with the mixture and place in crock. Spread some of the minced garlic on each rib. Squirt them all with lemon juice. Pour remaining mixture over ribs. Cook on low for 10 hours. Eat your heart out.
I served them with my sweet potato fries and a romaine heart salad.
Hopefully, next week I’ll be hooked on: dieting! Be sure to check out what everyone else is hooked on today!
