Hooked on: The Idea of These Three Habits!

I would love to tell you that I am hooked on a few habits that I feel are important ones, but right now, I’m not. However, I am hooked on the idea of them! Since these three things have been on my mind alot lately, I decided I must enter them in Julia’s Hooked on Friday’s Party!!

Drum Roll Please……

dirtysink.jpg1) Having an  empty and clean kitchen sink every night when I go to bed. Nothing is worse than running out the door to work, seeing a pile of dirty dishes, and knowing they will be staring me in the face when I get back home.

bed.jpg2) Making my bed every morning. Nothing is better than crawling in bed at night to cool sheets. This just doesn’t happen if I don’t make my bed in the morning.

laundry.jpg3) Folding the clean laundry within 48 hours of it coming out of the dryer. Ideally, I’d love to have it folded as soon as it exits the dryer, but I do not live in an ideal world. Therefore, I think 48 hours is realistic.

And nothing is worse than coming home from a long day of work, walking past the sink full of dirty dishes, and plodding upstairs only to find mounds of cleans clothes laying on top of a disheveled bed.

Now, I want to be hooked on doing these three things on a daily basis so we’ll see how the next few weeks go!! Be sure to check out Julia’s Hooked on Friday’s Party to see what everyone else is hooked on this week!!

Note: I did not get hooked on dieting this week…

Now these are 3 habits I should cultivate, too! Especially that folding laundry one. . . .
Thanks for the nudge in the right direction!

I could sure “take up” those three habits as well. You have me thinking!

I agree wholeheartedly on all 3 of those. My husband helps do 2 out of the3. He makes the bed in the morning, and helps to clean the dishes up on allot of nights. The laundry folding is all me…and Mary of course. One of the most generous things I can do for Mary is give her her laundry to fold. It’s like I have given her a gold ring. She loves it!

I couldn’t agree more! I have to watch myself when I make my bed in the morning that I don’t try to jump back in! Thanks for sharing!

I read an article somewhere that Tiger Woods is fanatical about making his bed every morning. Wonder if that has changed now that he’s a husband and a father? Anyway, if I can get hooked on Angela’s three recommended daily habits, my house will look 100% better! Great post.

Now there is a woman after my own heart, 48 hours is more like me as well. Mainly because our dryer is outside and I always forget it’s out there :)

But I need to work on the other two. I hate having dishes in the sink, yet they always seem to be there!

I so agree with you….a clean sink, a bed that is made and folded laundry are all so important. It seems when you let even one of these things go it seems to snowball…and, I tend to be a control freak so I can’t stand if something is left undone.
