I am joining Kim’s Tasty Tuesday Party over Forever Wherever today! My *ma-ma’s Herbed Oyster Crackers was one of my favorite snacks growing up! I remember making them all the time when I was visiting her! I can sit down and eat the whole bag of them…it’s bad!

Herbed Oyster Crackers

herbs.jpg1 package oyster crackers

1 package ranch dressing – dry

1/2 teaspoon powdered dill weed

1/2 teaspoon lemon powder

1/4 teaspoon garlic salt (or powder)

about 1/2 cup veggie oil

Mix all ingredients except the crackers. Combine into crackers making sure all are covered. Let stand for one hour. Enjoy!!

* Now I realize my ma-ma did not invent this recipe, but I’m still giving her all the credit!

Well, it’s new to me! Thanks for sharing you ma-ma’s recipe! I’m going to have to try this when we have company. Otherwise I might eat too much!!!

So you don’t bake them once the ingredients are combined? Hmm… I’ll have to try this. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Angela Says:

Nope. Just let them sit and “dry out” a bit. I usually start with less than 1/2 cup oil and use just a tab more if they are too dry for the herbs to stick to the crackers.

  4. Kristen Says:

This sounds a lot like something I made growing up – we called them O.C.’s! I will have to make these now!

I love oyster crackers, and I’ve got to try this!
Talked to your Mom this afternoon. Are you going to go down and spend some time with them this week?
