Buttercups (Daffodils)

d3.jpg

I am hooked! They are a sure sign of spring – so fashionable! When the buttercups pop out of the ground, we know Spring is on it’s way! And after a long winter (at least for me), I am so hopeful when I see buttercups! They make me smile! And they smell divine!

Be sure to spring on over to Julia’s Hooked on Fridays Party

and FiFi’s Fashionable Friday Party!

Enjoy!!

Update: I feel the need to tell everyone – these are not my photos. Beautiful! But not mine. For everyone who knows me, knows that I cannot take good photos, but now I’m realizing that I have some readers who don’t know me personally. And I apologize for making you think they are mine. I just googled images. I don’t even know where they came from. Thanks!

These pictures are awesome! I can not wait for Spring to get here!!! Just a couple of days ago it was an extremely unseasonable 80 degrees here and the buttercups started blooming (along with a few others). Now it’s below freezing and we’ve got snow on the ground :( I hope that it goes away soon and the flowers come back…. Seeing your pictures I can almost smell Spring!

i love buttercups! when i was a kid, my mom used to hold them up to my chin. she said that if it made your chin yellow, that meant you liked butter. silly, but i was always said, “how does it know?!”

    Angela,

Such a heavenly sight!! I also love buttercups and they DO make you smile. They are a welcoming sight after a long, cold winter! It is very curious to me how nature always knows when it is time to say hello to spring.

Although my favorite color is blue I do love yellow. It’s just such a happy color and the daffodils remind me that spring is here and summer isn’t too far off.

Though those photos may not be yours, I thought you did a great job taking photos at other times, especially the kitties in and under the Christmas tree!

Ahhhh. Love this!!! I’m so ready for Spring. My husband planted lots of daffodil and tulip bulbs in our backyard and it’s always fun to see them popping up. :-)

I have some bulbs poking their shiny green leaves through the soil right now!

You asked for a book recommend on one of my posts, but I can’t figure out an email for you, so I’ll leave my suggestion here: either of Khaled Hosseini’s books (Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns). I’ve heard good things about Revolutionary Road – that it’s like Mad Men without the ad agency part – so it’s on my to-read list. But really all most all my reading time lately is with non-fiction.

Beautiful googled images of buttercups! :)
