cheese.jpgCall me ole’ fashioned, but there just isn’t anything like a good cheese ball! Trust me, I am very into my Chevre Goat Cheese and the like, but I can still go old school when it comes to cheese balls. With spring coming and the BBQ’s that go with it, I thought I’d share my ma-ma’s tried and true cheese ball recipe!

Cheese Ball

2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

1/2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 small onion, finely grated

1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon celery salt

1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts, preferrably)

Thorough blend all ingredients except nuts. Chill for 3 hours. Shape into a ball and roll in chopped nuts. Chill.  Serve with crackers.

YUMMY! A great snack to go along with your spring grilling recipes! Be sure to check out everyone’s recipes today over at Kim’s Tasty Tuesday Party!

This looks great…I don’t have a recipe for this. I’ve never made one. I’ll have to give a try. Thanks so much for bringing it to Tasty Tuesday!
