Hooked on: My 30’s

This week, I am hooked on my 30’s.
Entering my third decade is much different than entering my 2nd. So much has happened in the past 10 years that I could write a book! I have graduated from college, been in love more than once, been heartbroken more than once, bought a home on my own home, traveled halfway around the world, met my husband, got married, and the list goes on.
What is going to happen in my next ten? Tears of joy. Tears of sadness. Tears of hormones. Tears of birth. Tears of death. More tears of hormones. Smiles. Frowns. All of these things and more will happen in the next ten years.
It’s a good thing one of my dear friends told me that my 30’s will be much better than my 20’s and that being in my 30’s is totally fashionable. So this week, I am hooked on my 30’s…because like it or not, they are here…for the next ten years.

Wow, life is full of all kinds of experiences — but with each year you gain more and more wisdom. I love the 40’s!

I was completely freaked out about turning 30! I didn’t even want to celebrate my birthday, but now that’s the big 3-0 has come and gone… I’m ok with it. It wasn’t nearly as bad as I had imagined…and like you said the 30’s are hear to stay… for at least the next 10 years!

Ya know…30’s just isn’t aren’t what I thought they were going to be! I am having the time of my life and each year just gets better! When I was growing up I didn’t see 30+ year old women having fun…they were all complaining about getting old!!! I am looking forward to my 40’s and beyond…I am definitely taking care of myself so I can continue to have this much fun forever!
PS…that was a very sweet message your mom left you – happy birthday!

I’m glad you have good things to say about being in your 30’s. I’ll be 29 this year.
I’m not dreading it, I’ve enjoyed each year of being older and wiser. I hope that continues!

Your dear friends are right: your 30s will be much better than your 20s. And, so you know now, 40s aren’t bad either — at all! You are so wise to be aware of the decade ahead. Not sure when you’re turning 30, but Happy Birthday! ~Arleen

My thirties were great! The forties are going pretty nicely, too! Hope your birthday is wonderful and filled with all of your favorite things!

Loved my 30’s! So far the 40’s are pretty great too. Couldn’t pay me any money to redo high school or my 20’s.
