Hooked On: My Flower Garden
Posted in Gardening by: AngelaThis week, I am officially (ok – maybe not officially, but at least unofficially) fashionable!! My flower garden is so beautiful right now! Pinks, purples, and deep reds make this one of the most fashionable parts of our yard! Of course, I am also hooked on my flower garden!!
After my ma-ma passed, I wanted a memory of her and her love of gardening. I transplanted most of her iris’ and peonies to our house and also one of her rose bushes!

Gorgeous flowers, especially the purple & white iris
I don’t know what came over me last summer, but I pulled out all my iris bulbs
I love the flowers, but after they bloom, they just take up space in the garden and don’t contribute much. I’m really missing them this year….
The bulbs I pulled out are in a bag in the garage. Fingers crossed they’ll rejuvenate themselves if I put them back in the garden and bloom next year….
Have a great weekend!!

Angela, that is so wonderful that you transplanted your ma-ma’s flowers to your home. My bleeding heart plant and my bachelor button plant came from my mom’s house. It makes them so special! I love peonies! They are one of my top all-time favorite flowers. Beautiful flowers you have there!

What a nice memory of your Ma! Now everytime you see them bloom, they are all reminders of her. Luv the peonies!

What beautiful memories these pictures bring to mind. Mother loved her flowers so much. I just wish she could see how well they are growing for you. You have so many of her talents . . . “she being dead, yet speaketh”! Love ya!

I am very jealous! Those flowers are the best. How much space do you have in your yard? We’re trying to get ideas for our backyard.
